Chandigarh man loses ₹9 lakh to credit card scam via fraudulent video call and phishing link

The scammer offered a new credit card and requested a video call for identity verification, during which the victim shared personal and card details. The scammer then sent a fraudulent link, which led to unauthorised transactions of Rs 8,69,400 from an American Express card and Rs 60,000 from an Axis Bank card. The victim reported the incident to the Chandigarh Cyber Cell, and the scammers also hacked his Amazon account before being blocked by platform security.
