Young mother exposed to unknown man speaking to toddler via Ring cameras in bedroom, leading to device removal and public warning

A woman reported that an unknown man spoke to her toddler through their Ring camera during the night. The incidents occurred in the child’s bedroom, where two Ring indoor cameras were installed. The man allegedly communicated with the child multiple times, using the child’s name and instructing him to hide. The woman reviewed the Ring footage and confirmed the interaction. She contacted Ring and the police, but Ring initially denied the possibility of a hack, and the police declined to pursue the case further. As a result, the family removed their Ring system and warned others about the risks of using such devices.
