Summary
A Texas man was accused of attempting to obtain sexually explicit photos from a minor in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Marcoctavio Romero of San Antonio was charged with transfer or attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor and coercion and enticement of a minor in federal court in Texas. The victim’s family reported that an unknown man was messaging the underage child through Roblox and Instagram. The suspect sent obscene photos of himself to the minor and asked the child to send similar images. Law enforcement obtained search warrants for Instagram, Roblox, Google, and a bank account, which led to Romero’s identification. The victim and the perpetrator never had in-person contact.
