A Delhi MBA graduate, Tushar, created fake profiles on social media and dating apps, posing as a US-based model to scam over 700 women. He used stolen photos and a virtual international number to appear credible and gained victims’ trust before demanding money and threatening to leak their private content. A Delhi University student was one of his victims, having shared personal photos with him on Bumble in January 2024 before being extorted. After she filed a complaint in December 2024, the West Delhi Cyber Police traced his activities and arrested him in Shakarpur. Police recovered digital evidence, a virtual number, 13 credit cards, and records of interactions with over 60 women. Tushar was found to be linked to multiple extortion cases despite having a stable job and an MBA degree.
