Student uses AI to generate and distribute explicit images of minor classmates via Discord
Summary
A 16-year-old student at Mason High School used publicly available social media photos of at least seven underage classmates to generate 43 AI-generated sexually explicit images and videos of them. The student shared these images on a public Discord account, exposing them to a wider audience that included other minors from out-of-state. The content was flagged by Discord, which alerted authorities through a cybertip, leading to the student’s arrest. In addition to the AI-generated material, the student also possessed a video of an underage girl being sexually assaulted, though it is unclear if that video was AI-generated.
