37-year-old Ohio man distributes AI-generated deepfake porn of stalked victims including ex-girlfriends and their families
Summary
A 37-year-old Ohio man, James Strahler II, allegedly created and distributed pornographic deepfake videos of at least 10 people he was stalking and harassing, including ex-girlfriends and their families, according to a court document filed by an FBI Special Agent. The AI-generated images depicted victims engaged in sexual acts, including with family members, and were sent to their family and coworkers. One victim reported receiving images that showed her face morphed onto nude bodies and engaged in sex acts, including with her own father. Strahler was arrested in June 2025 after police found he had uploaded AI-generated nude images of victims to a porn site and searched for terms related to AI-generated pornography and sexual abuse material. He was ordered to remain in custody pending future federal court hearings.
