22-year-old unemployed woman loses ₹3.56 lakh to fake Flipkart job portal scam via WhatsApp in April 2025

A 22-year-old unemployed woman from Hyderabad was scammed out of ₹3.56 lakh by fraudsters posing as representatives of a fake online job portal linked to Flipkart Internet Private Limited. The victim received a WhatsApp message from an account named ‘Global Online Jobs from Flipkart Internet Private Limited’ with a link to a suspicious website offering a part-time job. She was asked to make an initial payment of ₹200 and later sent ₹100 in "commission" to gain her trust. The incident occurred in April 2025.
